After much research, we went with some much bigger iPads (iPad 7th gen) after years of having Samsung Galaxy S2 tablets.
Current issue: are we ever getting actual updates for the M1-SK app? I noticed even with the Android app there really wasn't any updates as far as usability.
With the IOS app, we're only on day 2 and one of the techs just brought to my attention: when I add the fluid capacity to an order now and they pull it up on their tablets, they can't see the capacity because Mitchell starts that on another line. Wasn't an issue on the previous tablets though. It's fine if I go in on my computer to get rid the "separation", for lack of a better word. HOWEVER, that's just something extra I have to remember to do on top of everything else.
What would be REALLY lovely would be if say they could click on the different line items on their tablets and it would open up with everything. Especially helpful for when the "work requested" section is long. I've been frustrated with this app for years but now that we're using the new tablets and Mitchell's new updates for the computers being released (Job View, I'm looking at you
), I'm now re-frustrated with how little has been done to improve the app functions. The apps have SO much potential but sometimes, it feels like the extra money isn't worth it because of how little they seem to be cared about by Mitchell. It seems everything else gets attention and work and the apps (Android and iOS) never do aside from "bug fixes" every few years, if that.Anyone else get my/my tech's frustrations? Or am I screaming into the void?
Also...any of the experts here know if there's any ACTUAL app updates coming that are worth keeping hope alive for?
